This Sunday at Asbury — September 16, 2018

This page updates on Friday or Saturday to tell you about our upcoming Sunday worship service.
17th Sunday after Pentecost
NOTE: Asbury Memorial provides childcare during the 10 O'clock Hour and the worship service.

10 A.M. (opportunities for children & adults)

Creative Kids
We are starting back our "Creative Kids" program for children and youth. Creative Kids uses puppetry and other art forms to experience the good news of the gospel. These art forms will be shared in our worship services periodically. Creative Kids meets on the 2nd floor of the Education Building.
10 O'clock Hour
All adults are welcomed to our wonderful time of study and fellowship in the Social Hall. The group will be using the outstanding DVD series, Living the Questions, TWO, which has added some new voices. Come at 9:45 a.m. for coffee and fellowship.
Breathing Under Water Study Group
This book study and discussion group of Franciscan Richard Rohr's classic book, Breathing Under Water, will meet in the Conference Room on the 1st floor. Rohr explains how the renowned AA program is preeminently spiritual and has the power to rescue people from the tidal wave of compulsive behavior and addiction by helping them "breathe under water" and discover God's love and compassion.

11 A.M.

Godly Play
Children, ages 3 to 5 years old, are invited to participate in the wonderfully creative and interactive learning experience of Godly Play. It meets on the first floor of the Education Building across from the nursery.

Connection Corner
If you have questions about Asbury or if you would like to meet more people at the church, head to the Connection Corner in the Social Hall! The folks at the Connection Corner are looking forward to getting to know you and will be glad to share with you about the programs and events at the church.  Copies of Rev. Hester's book, WOW! Moments, are available for purchase.
God on Broadway Rehearsal for Children and Youth
After Coffee Hour, children and youth who would like to be part of the Mary Poppins Service on October 7th will meet in the sanctuary.
We ordered a fresh batch of Asbury Car Decals, and they have arrived.
If you would like an Asbury decal for your car, you can pick one up at the Connection Corner
on Sundays or in the church office during the week.
Encourage a friend or an acquaintance to come try the Asbury Experience!
